COMMUNITY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS
Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) are private, not-for-profit, community-based service organizations that design and/or develop new affordable housing projects. These projects are funded by the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) HOME Investment Partnerships Program.
CHDOs are unique because they are community-based affordable housing options developed with pre-determined renters and homeowners in mind.
